The Power of Romans 8
Romans 8 is a very powerful chapter in the Bible that we all need to turn to as Christians as often as we can. Especially when we find ourselves going through difficult trials and tribulations in our lives or when we are going through moments of weakness in our spiritual walk. I'll refer to particular verses which are of constant help to me.
So do you ever find yourself feeling worthless or unworthy of God's love? Maybe because of things you have done, or because of your weakness and faults or because of your past? Verse 35 to 39 tells us that absolutely nothing can separate us from the love of God. Nothing in this world or out of this world has got the power to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus. It doesn't matter what we've done, what we have said or the kind of people we have been. There is nothing that can make God love us any less. That is God's unconditional, unending and undeserved love. His love for us is not bound by anything. Human love is conditional. If the love you have for someone is not given back youll probably stop loving that person. But God loves us even when we don't love Him. He continues to love us even when we don't deserve His love.
It says in chapter 35 : Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
It is also in this same chapter of Romans 8 verse 37 that we get to know that we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. God does not say that we are just conquerors. He says that we are more than conquerors. Other translations say we are more than overcomers. It doesn't matter what kind of tribulation or challenge or negativity or distress or sickness or storms or whatever it is that you are going through. You are an overcomer and you shall overcome. Begin to see yourself the way God sees you and tell yourself I am an overcomer. There is no limit to our victories in Jesus amen.
We overcome because Jesus overcame. Since we are His and we are called by His name then nothing shall be impossible for us. We can do all things through Christ.
Lastly we are also told in verse 28 that Romans 8: 28 that All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. So whatever the enemy might be intending to harm you with or destroy you with, God can turn it around and make it into a blessing. Amen
So in your own time I just want to encourage you to read the entire chapter of Romans 8 and see what a difference it will make in your spiritual life. May God bless you all.
